Business call analytics with the conversation behind the count
See call volume, average duration and recent calls in your Aria dashboard. Use those signals to choose what to investigate, then review the available conversations before changing how your business handles the phone.
Illustrative call-review question
Caller: I am not sure which consultation type I need. What is the difference?
Aria: I can explain the consultation options this business has provided.
Reviewing similar calls can show whether the service descriptions need to be clearer; a count alone cannot explain why customers asked.

Turn a call pattern into a practical decision
Choose one business question
Start with something actionable: Are calls reaching us while the desk is busy? Are customers confused about a service? Decide which records could help answer it.
Inspect the records behind the pattern
Review the available volume and duration measures, then read a selection of relevant call records. Check the reporting period and timezone before comparing calls with local staffing hours.
Change one part of the call flow
Clarify an instruction, revise the intake questions or adjust coverage. Review later calls to see whether the issue persists, and check actual bookings or sales in the systems that record them.
Use each measure for the question it can answer
See changes in call activity
Call-volume charts help you spot periods that deserve a closer look. Compare the captured activity with your staffing and forwarding arrangement before deciding that coverage needs to change.
Look beyond average duration
A longer call might involve several questions, a correction or a more complex request. Review individual conversations to understand the reason; duration alone is not a score for call quality.
Find topics worth explaining better
Where the top-intents option is enabled, it can point your team toward recurring reasons for calling. Check those records and improve a service description, question or staff-contact instruction.
Questions to bring to your call review
An office sees a busy period in its call activity and checks whether existing forwarding matches the hours when the receptionist is helping visitors.
An owner notices longer conversations after changing service names. Reading the calls shows whether customers are asking for explanations or discussing more complex work.
A team reviews repeated quote enquiries, improves the intake question and tracks staff follow-up separately to learn which enquiries become actual work.
What the dashboard measures
Which measures can I see?
The dashboard includes call volume, average duration and recent calls. Top intents are an account feature that must be enabled. Available data depends on the call records captured for your account.
Do the numbers include every call to my business number?
They reflect activity recorded in Aria. Calls that stay with your existing phone provider or never reach Aria may need to be reviewed in that provider's records.
Can I read the charts as local business hours?
Check the report's timezone before making that comparison. Current call aggregation uses UTC, so a chart period should not be assumed to match your local opening and closing times.
Does a call count show how much revenue Aria generated?
No. Calls, enquiries, bookings and paid work are different outcomes. Match relevant call activity with your own customer and booking records before drawing a revenue or conversion conclusion.
Can analytics tell me exactly which instruction to change?
The measures help you choose where to look. Your team reviews the conversations, checks the business facts and decides what to change; a chart does not establish the cause of a problem by itself.
